Glass: Stange Glass
Tasting Notes: Brewed in the only city that can legitimately call their beer Kolsch, Gaffel Kolsch is probably the best-known. This warm-fermented, then cold lagered beer is straw coloured and has aromas of cereal and citrus.
Although the proper glass is a stange, my favourite way to drink Kolsch is in a meter of beer (a wooden shelf consisting of 10-12 beer glasses delivered to your table).
